It is not recommended to install dependencies manually, because then they will also need to be manually uninstalled. There is no need to specify the missing dependencies in Debian (and Ubuntu). You can do `apt-get install --fix-broken` and apt will get them for you.
Note that this method is preferable but the first step does produce an error message (which is resolved by the 2nd step) which can be a little confusing.
